A native of Russia, Michael Zamikhovsky at age 15 came to New Jersey from Moscow, Russia, with his parents. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry at the University of Rochester and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center School of Dental and Oral Surgery.
Following a general practice residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, N. J., Dr. Zamikhovsky decided to pursue a specialty in prosthodontics. His curiosity about fabricating dental prosthetics grew from an avocational interest in mechanics, car racing, and race car fabrication; it led to another three years of education and training at New York University College of Dentistry and his degree in prosthodontics.
After graduation from NYU, Dr. Zamikhovsky went into private practice in 1995 in North Plainfield, N. J., but soon outgrew that space. In 2003, he moved to his current location in Watchung, N. J., in an office custom-built for his prosthodontics practice.
Dr. Zamikhovsky is a member of the American Dental Association and the American College of Prosthodontics.
