Bonding: Many Uses

One of the most common uses of dental bonding is to attach tooth-colored filling material to teeth that are chipped, cracked, broken or misshapen. It can also be used for small fillings, and as an alternative to other cosmetic ceramic procedures.

In some cases with young patients, bonding is used as a temporary solution to improve the appearance of a damaged tooth until the patient is old enough to receive a more permanent restoration, such as a crown. It can also be used as an alternative to other cosmetic ceramic procedures.
